A special milestone in a company history that began in 1906 with a small trading company and, over four generations, has developed into a leading Swiss company specialising in plastics technology.

When Ernst Kundert founded the company in Zurich in 1906, the focus was on representing Swiss textile industry products. The range included weaving shuttles, spinning cans and spinning tubes, as well as bicycle grips and skis for a time.

Over the years, the company continuously evolved. In 1962, KUNDERT established its first in-house production facility for metal gears. In 1974, a production site for the machining of plastic components followed in Jona. Ten years later, KUNDERT expanded its portfolio to include polyurethane processing. At the beginning of the new millennium, KUNDERT discontinued the production of metal gears and focused entirely on the steadily growing plastics sector. The integration of Hilty Engineering AG, acquired in 2024, added injection moulding production in Uznach. Today, KUNDERT brings together plastic machining, injection moulding, polyurethane processing and semi-finished products under one roof.

However, 120 years of company history mean far more than technical developments and new manufacturing processes. Above all, they are about people: employees, customers and partners who have accompanied and shaped KUNDERT over generations. As a Swiss family-owned company, KUNDERT places great importance on personal responsibility, innovation and an open corporate culture. Today, around 120 employees at the Rapperswil-Jona and Uznach sites work to fulfil individual customer requirements with high-quality plastic solutions.
