Commercial Employee (KV) EFZ

Our three-year commercial training programme provides you with the basic social and methodological skills, knowledge and abilities required to take on administrative tasks as a commercial specialist.

This includes order processing, monitoring appointments, operating our telephone switchboard and much more. Your training with us will lead to a federal apprenticeship qualification, which provides a basis for a wide range of further training opportunities.

Training programme

What can I expect?

You will spend the first two years of your apprenticeship in the sales department. You will be introduced to the processing of orders. You will enter customer orders, place supplier orders, fulfil stock orders and enter production orders. You will also take on other important tasks, such as monitoring delivery dates, creating delivery reminders and carrying out exports. In the sales department, you will often have telephone or written contact with customers. You will spend the third year of your apprenticeship in our production planning and control department. In this department, you will be part of the lynchpin between the sales department and our production department. Your main tasks will be to finalise our production orders, deliver customer orders, manage our warehouse and carry out weekly deliveries. In this department, you will have more internal contact with various departments such as production and logistics. You will also be responsible for the reception area and will be the first point of contact for our visitors.

Throughout your training, you will be introduced to the telephone switchboard and office supplies management in addition to the two main departments. You will also be assigned to the accounts department once a year. This will be particularly helpful for the school subject of accounting. As it is important to us that you get to know our entire company, you will also complete an annual assignment in our logistics department, where you will see what happens to the delivery notes that you trigger in sales and production planning and control. In the third year of your apprenticeship, you will also spend a week in the training workshop of our polymechanic trainees and produce your own finished part on our CNC machines with the help of the trainees.

Where will I complete my apprenticeship?

KUNDERT AG is based in the municipality of Rapperswil-Jona in the industrial district of Buech. This is located near the Obersee, just outside Jona, but is easily accessible by public transport. All departments are located in our building; from administration, sales, production planning and control, IT, through to the individual production departments and production-related areas such as logistics, quality control and maintenance. As all departments are combined in one place, you will have contact with employees from a wide variety of areas. KUNDERT also employs people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds, which makes us a multicultural, yet family-orientated company.

You will spend the first two years of your apprenticeship in the sales department on the top floor of our building (including a view of the lake 😊). This is a multi-person office with around 10 team colleagues. Production planning and control is also located in a multi-person office, where around six employees have their workplace. The management offices and the reception area are also located here.

What else is there to say?
